We played West Central last night with just a few hours notice and it was a great time!!!  I thought I might have a heart attack because I didn"t get to do my normal full-day gig preparations (psycho-ish, I know) but as soon as we started playing it felt pretty awesome.  We did aight, despite our recent lack of practice (lulz) and M-m-m-Mike Scehovic joined in on the keys for a little extra flavor.  We even had some of our favorite peeps show up which was really nice!  We all enjoyed hanging with everyone and the other band that played, Jagged were great, too (just wish I got there a little sooner so I could see their other sets, but I was at a BBQ).    :D

Thank you all who were there!!!  And to all you other guys and gals, next time gadget....next time.

Calendar

As most of you know, we played Castaways in Hopatcong last night and it was a really awesome night!  We got to see so many friends and the bar was pretty busy.  We were so happy & surprised to see Sharon and she brought along some great pictures of Blacky.  Being there did make me miss him, I think we all felt it, but it was still a super positive experience because everyone was having fun. 

By the second set, there were even some dancing peeps (people, not the marshmallow chicks, to clarify) and the energy was great which made it so much more fun/rewarding for us.  During some songs, I was conscious of the fact that I was smiling quite broadly and thought I must've looked like such a nerd.  :D

After the gig, we went to Jeff & Sue's for a few (hours? LOL) and had a great time just shooting the pewp and reminiscing before having to head back home to unpack and try to get some desperately needed sleep.

That was so much fun.  I hope this will carry over for our gig on Friday at West Central (details on the Calendar ).

This weekend has just been the cats PJs, ya know?!

Holy pewpcakes, Batman.  I really can't believe today is October 23rd already.  I am really excited to play Castaways tonight!  Even though I have only been to Castaways once and have never played there, it is hallowed ground for me.  When I moved to this area, this place went by a different name and I met many, many cool people there.  I made good friends at that place and I am grateful for it.  It is also bittersweet because Blacky, the old owner, passed away a few years back.  That is when the bar closed and it has since reopened as Castaways. 

I have heard Castaways is a fantastic bar with great food and a cool crowd!  I hope we will see some old familiar faces tonight and also make some new friends!  

Even though I know the memories will be there, I know this is going to be about moving forward and having a good time and, of course...

Rockin' on with my mothatruckin' socks on!!!
